Planting day – 2 July 2017

Many thanks again to those loyal members and volunteers who braved the cold and the risk of a shower on 2 July to plant the dune blow-outs at path 16 on the Floreat dog-beach – see photos.  We planted close to 700 plants in less than 2 hours, good going considering many of the spinifex needed to be planted as deep as a trowel could reach.  We have one more area of blow-out which is already matted, ready for planting between paths 13 and 14, near the Drain, of fishing fame.  We may need to do that as early as next Sunday because of bad weather forecasts for the following two Sundays – more news during the week.
